We continue in our January worship series, Leadership in Anxious Times. We will see what leadership skills we can glean from the people in the Gospel story and how those skills can help us in the anxious times in which we live. The scriptures this weekend will be Isaiah 43:1-5 and Mark 1:4-11.

"Led by a Star" - Sermon, Jan 3, 2021

On this first weekend of the New Year, we will celebrate Epiphany. The Day of Epiphany is always January 6th and the last day of the 12 Days of Christmas. The word 'Epiphany' means a sudden, striking understanding of something. For Christians, Epiphany is the celebration of the arrival of the magi, who traveled long distances with their gifts to greet the Christ child. This will also be the beginning of our January worship series, Leadership in Anxious Times. We will see what leadership skills we can glean from the people in the Gospel story and how those skills can help us in the anxious times in which we live. The scriptures this weekend will be Isaiah 60:1-6 and Matthew 2:1-12. Pastor Jenny's sermon is titled "Led by a Star." 

"Preparing With Gratitude for Joy" - Sermon 12-20-2020

On this fourth weekend of the Advent season leading to Christmas, we continue with our Advent theme of, Preparing with Gratitude.  This last weekend of Advent we will be Preparing with Gratitude for Joy.  The scriptures this weekend will be Isaiah 55:12-13 and Luke 1:26-38.  In the Gospel story, we will hear the announcement to Mary by the angel Gabriel that she will have a son and will name him Jesus.

"Preparing with Gratitude for Love" - Sermon 12-13-2020

This is the third weekend of the Advent season leading to Christmas.  Our Advent theme is Preparing with Gratitude.  On this third weekend of Advent we will be Preparing with Gratitude for Love.  The sermon scripture this weekend is John 1:6-8, 19-28.  We will hear more about John the Baptist and his call to testify to the light, which is Jesus the Christ.

"Preparing with Gratitude for Peace"

This is the second weekend of the Advent season leading to Christmas.  Our Advent theme is Preparing with Gratitude.  On this second weekend of Advent we will be Preparing with Gratitude for Peace.  The scripture this weekend Mark 1:1-8.  We will get our annual visit from John the Baptist in our Gospel story.

"Preparing with Gratitude for Hope" - Sermon 11-29-2020

This is the first weekend of the Advent season leading to Christmas.  Our Advent theme is Preparing with Gratitude.  On this first weekend of Advent we will be Preparing with Gratitude for Hope.  The scripture this weekend will be Mark 13:24-37.  The Gospel reading will encourage us to stay alert for the coming of Christ.
