The scriptures this weekend will be Psalm 147:1-11, 20 and Mark 1:29-39.
Pastor Jenny's sermon is titled, "Finding Our Balance".
This will be a continuation of last week's Gospel story. Jesus moves from casting out unclean spirits to healing the sick, and he balances his work and ministry with time away to pray.

We will conclude our January worship series, Leadership in Anxious Times. We have been looking at what leadership skills we can glean from various people in the Bible and how those skills can help us in the anxious times in which we live. The scriptures this weekend will be Psalm 111 and Mark 1:21-28. Pastor Jenny's sermon is titled, "Leading with Love".
We will hear a story of how Jesus preaches and teaches with authority, but always leads with love; which is a leadership skill that will benefit all of us.

We continue in our January worship series, Leadership in Anxious Times. We will see what leadership skills we can glean from various people in the Bible and how those skills can help us in the anxious times in which we live. The scriptures this weekend are Psalm 62:5-12 and Judges 4:4-10. Pastor Jenny's sermon is titled, "Leading from the Gap".
We will hear the story of Deborah, who is a prophet and a judge. She leads large numbers of people and is one of just four female judges mentioned in the Bible.

On this first weekend of the New Year, we will celebrate Epiphany. The Day of Epiphany is always January 6th and the last day of the 12 Days of Christmas. The word 'Epiphany' means a sudden, striking understanding of something. For Christians, Epiphany is the celebration of the arrival of the magi, who traveled long distances with their gifts to greet the Christ child. This will also be the beginning of our January worship series, Leadership in Anxious Times. We will see what leadership skills we can glean from the people in the Gospel story and how those skills can help us in the anxious times in which we live. The scriptures this weekend will be Isaiah 60:1-6 and Matthew 2:1-12. Pastor Jenny's sermon is titled "Led by a Star."

On this fourth weekend of the Advent season leading to Christmas, we continue with our Advent theme of, Preparing with Gratitude. This last weekend of Advent we will be Preparing with Gratitude for Joy. The scriptures this weekend will be Isaiah 55:12-13 and Luke 1:26-38. In the Gospel story, we will hear the announcement to Mary by the angel Gabriel that she will have a son and will name him Jesus.
